RESULTS & BENEFITS OF USING BIM/IPD/REVIT TECHNOLOGY
—INCREASED QUALITY:
- Planning and continuous evaluation of the plan as the design is progressing
- Provided the owner with additional time to complete planning and programming
- Continuous design reviews via the 3D models allowing the team to contribute their best practices across disciplines
- Extract more accurate and reliable quality information
- Structural design team and fabricator can eliminate the need for 2D shop drawings
- Mechanical Team can test work flows eliminating the need for early 2D drawings from design fabrication
- Manage all building information in a single database
- Seamless update of all drawings with results from multiple analysis applications
- Check interference problems, architectural, structural and MEP models simultaneously
—INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY:
- Automate drawing production and coordination
- Integrate any design change in a timely manner
- Use a single model for structural analysis & documentation
- Increase quality and reliability of information produced during design.
- Provide reliable information to the teams design without increasing the overall schedule
- Better solutions are arrived at earlier in the design process
- Estimating don more frequently and in less time as quantities are further refined
- Model based reviews replace traditional shop drawings
- Permit drawings are produced when models are coordinated and the same models are used for automated fabrication
- Continuous evaluation of the value stream eliminate redundancy and waste allowing the team to drive the overall project cost down
GREENVERSE CONSORTIUM (GVC) is a global program and projects management consortium founded and managed by THE D I O R GROUP for Projects Management in Middle East & Africa, 2024-2050 with BOT Projects Portfolios amounted to $50.0+bn under PMO management of THE D I O R GROUP.
